Wingerter, 94, of Perryville, died on March 21, 2019 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, MO. He was born February 26, 1925 in Perryville, MO son of Frank John and Bertha (Schott) Wingerter. He and Velma M. Weber were married on June 10, 1950 in Highland, MO.

She survives in Perryville, MO. Lloyd had worked for 22 years at International Shoe Factory then later retired after 22 years with Daimler-Chrysler. He was an avid bingo player.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133, River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034 and Life member of both VFW Post 4282 and AmVets Post 94. He was a US Army veteran of WW II. Other survivors include one brother, Milton “Dick” Wingerter of Maryland Heights and two sisters-in-law, Nina Wilson of Perryville, MO and Dorothy Wingerter of Biehle, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elmer and Merlin “Curly” Wingerter and two sisters, Alma Geringer and Mildred Schott. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with VFW wake at 6:00 pm and American Legion wake at 6:15 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 am with rosary recited at 8:30 am.

He will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Joe Geders officiating. Burial in the Mt.

Hope Cemetery with Military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
