Obituary for Lodie Bernell Allen Lodie Bernell Allen Haynesville, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Lodie Bernell Allen, age 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Stateline Missionary Baptist Church, near Taylor, AR with Rev. David Walsworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Stateline Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Bailey Funeral Home Mrs. Allen was born on September 17, 1935 to Bernice and Twyla Odell Mills Elkins in Haynesville, LA and passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Minden, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, member of the Baptist faith and a retired LPN with 35 years of service. She was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Cupp and husband, Gerry of Haynesville, LA; grandchildren, twins Chris Burrell and wife, Jeri Lynn, and Corey Burrell; seven great-grandsons; sister, Frankie Foster of Shongaloo, LA and a nephew, Robert Foster. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Ricky Lynn, James Wray, and Sandra Allen, and brother, Joe T. Strickland. Pallbearers will be Robert Foster, Joe Helms, Dwight Cupp, Ricky Mezeire, Talmadge Shepard, and Gayle Foster.
