Obituary for Lorene Spaetti Lorene M. Spaetti, 91, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born May 14, 1927 in Evansville to the late George and Margaret (Stratman) Spaetti. Lorene attended Memorial High School.
Graduated from the University of Evansville and received her Masters of Education from Indiana State University. She was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral. Lorene worked at Mesker Steel Corporation for 25 years and then taught at Red Hill School District number 10 in Sumner, IL for 20 years.
Lorene is survived by her sister, Georgia Spaetti, with whom she lived; nieces and nephews, Jean Doyle, Susan Horner, John Gartner, Beth Klueh, and David Gartner; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Francille Gartner. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave.
, Evansville, a rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave, with Father Godfrey Mullen and Father Ted Tempel officiating.
