Obituary for Marcia K. Bergamini Marcia K. Bergamini, age 81, passed away on Sept. 7, 2018 at CT. Hospice.

She was the beloved wife of Carlo Bergamini for 60 years. Loving mother of Laurie Burrill (Geoff) of New Hartford, Lisa Benet (Peter) of W. Hartford, Tracy Scelzo (R.P.) of Wallingford and Marybeth Knobel (Rolff) of Prospect, sister of Betsy Fowler of Guilford. Also survived by her 8 cherished grandchildren and 1 beloved great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her daughter Carey E. Bergamini and a brother Gerald Higney. Mrs. Bergamini was born in New Haven on August 13, 1937, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Deegan Higney. Mrs. Bergamini received her master’s degree in speech & language pathology at Southern Conn.

State University. Prior to her retirement she was a speech and language pathologist for the West Haven and Hamden school systems. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Cape Cod, playing cards, dominos, watching the birds at her bird feeder and spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions to CT. Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd.
