Nicholas John Olivieri, of New Haven and recently of Hamden, passed away at CT Hospice, in Branford, on Monday, October 22, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born in New Haven, on March 3, 1942 to Louise and Leno Olivieri. Nick leaves behind his beloved wife Signe.

He served faithfully in the National Guard and retired from the CT State Police after 25 years of service. He then owned and operated The Top Shelf Co. for many years until his retirement. Nick was an avid Yankees fan and loved cooking, woodworking and travel.

He was very proud of his family and loved them dearly. Brother of Jean Hine and Linda Braun. Father of Laura Pedalino(Carmen), Brian Olivieri (Lauri), and Christie Olivieri.

Grandfather of Michael, Brian, and Daniel (Kristin) Pedalino, and Jordan Olivieri. Great-grandfather of Sophia Pedalino. Funeral services will be held in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven Saturday morning at 10:30.

Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 until time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT State Police Union, attn: Scholarship Committee 500 Main St. East Hartford, CT 06118 or to CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd.
