Margaret McDuffie Blalock, age 89, of Sanford, NC, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at Central Carolina Hospital. She was born in Harnett County, NC on October 15, 1928 to the late Owen Stead McDuffie and Mary Jarman McDuffie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Larry Joe Blalock; brothers Curell McDuffie, Mac McDuffie and sister Opal Jessup.

Margaret worked many years for both Eaton Corp. and Static Control Components. She loved being a homemaker and working in her flower garden.

Most importantly she loved the Lord and always shared her faith. Her favorite saying was “God has been so good to me” no matter how bad her health became. She is survived by sons Jerry Blalock of Broadway, Jack Blalock and wife Deborah of Broadway; sister Joyce M. Barbour and husband W.A. “Dub” of Sanford; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM and funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Pastor Pearl Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow at Shallow Well Church Cemetery.
