Marian Joyce Munro Long , January 15, 1932 — June 09, 2018

Marian Joyce Munro Long, 86, of Herr St., Lock Haven passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Susque-View Nursing Home. She was born in Kittanning, PA on January 15, 1932 to Oscar G. and Alta Blanche Schroat Munro. Marian was a 1950 graduate of Lock Haven high school and attended Temple University School of Dental Hygiene from 1950 to 1951.

She was a member of the Great Island Presbyterian Church. She had worked at the Sylvania Plant in Towanda for 14 years, Clinton County Country Club as a book keeper for 8 years, and most recently worked at Fish Real Estate in Lock Haven doing general office work. Marian was passionate about cooking, she enjoyed gardening, cross stitch and other crafts.

She was devoted to her dogs, Molly and Casey who predeceased her. She was involved with her high school alumi association. Marian enjoyed her family and looked forward to having her children visit and loved going out to dinner with them.

Marian is survived by one son; James M (Michele) Long of Harrisburg, PA, three daughters: Deborah S.(Ron) Long Weaver of York, PA, Carolyn L. (Bill) Hershberger of Bluffton, SC, Judith A. Long of Endicott, NY, ten grandchildren: Erica Roop of York, PA, Damian Herring, Fl, William E. Hershberger III of Lakewood, CO, Sarah R. Hershberger of Bluffton, SC , Matthew R. Hershberger of Odenton, MD, Christine Smith and John Brainard of AZ, Jamie Brown of Columbia, MD, Katie and Jessica Long of Harrisburg, PA and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Marian Joyce Munro Long will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremations Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven, PA. Officiating will be Pastor Taylor Camerer of the Great Island Presbyterian Church.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Marian’s name to Great Island Presbyterian Church , 12 W.
