Marie Edwards December 18, 1934 – May 14, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Marie Edwards was born on December 18, 1934 in Chuckatuck, Virginia to the late Lucile Goodwin and the late Daniel Edwards. She was educated in the Suffolk, Virginia school system. Marie migrated from Virginia to New York at an early age to expand her opportunities.

Through the years she did many different domestic jobs. She was a dedicated, hard worker at all the jobs she performed. Later in life Marie had three loving children.

One of her sons, Rudolph Edwards, preceded her in death. She was a very happy, fun, loving person. Marie loved to dance, sing, play music, and cards.

She always found her way to a casino. During her relaxing moments, she enjoyed watching old movies. Marie was very family oriented, friendly, and really down to earth; but she would let you know how she felt about anyone or anything.

Marie always called a spade, a spade. She was a great believer in God and always read verses from the Holy Bible. Marie departed this earthly life on May 14, 2019.

Marie leaves behind to mourn: one daughter, Wanda Payne-Rosario; one son, Wallace Payne; one son-in-law, David Rosario; one granddaughter, Wanda Payne; one grandson, Jermaine Payne; five great-grandchildren, Devin, Akil, Giovanni, Harley, and Haley; two sisters, Lillie Hickson and Curley Britt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marie may have transitioned from this earthly life, but she will never be forgotten. She Will Always Be Loved and Truly Missed!
