Obituary for Mrs. Marilyn Suzanne Dallas Marilyn Dallas was born on June 20, 1940, in Springfield, Illinois. Her mother Nilar Jewel Phillips; her twin, Carolyn Eakers; her step-daughter Sonja Tinsley, and her loving husband, the late Pastor Willard “Duke” Dallas, Sr., have all preceded her in death and are all with the Lord. Her children are: Gloria Hartsough, Willard Dallas, Jr., Wayne F. Dallas, Sr., Raymond Dallas, Cherry Donavan, Jewel Dallas-Bruner, and Mark Paul Dallas.

She has 17 grandchildren, many other relatives, and a host of special friends that loved and adored her. She was a graduate of Douglas High School and a member of Faith, Hope, and Love Missionary Baptist Church that she and her husband founded. Marilyn was a wonderful, caring, and beautiful person inside and out.

For many years she was a fantastic model, a cherished First Lady, and a Woman of God.
