Marilyn Clark Smith, 71, of Alvaton, KY entered into rest Monday, June 4, 2018 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Marilyn was born January 24, 1947 in Franklin, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Minerva Jane Clark Smith.

Marilyn was a retired elementary school teacher from the Warren Co. Schools and lived the dream of teaching at Foundation Christian Academy. She was graduate of Adairville High School, Freed-Hardeman College and Western Kentucky University. She was a charter member of the Alvaton Church of Christ and former member of Lehman Ave.

Church of Christ. Her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was evident to all who encountered her. She was selfless to all who she loved and cared about.

She was deeply loved by her survivors include her husband of 49 years Larry R. Smith, son Brian M. Smith, sister Peggy Taylor (Glen) and brother-in-law Ron L. Smith (Patty), three nieces Teresa Siegel (Larry), Cynthia Jerigan (Terry) and Kelly Clack (Russell). Funeral services will be Friday, June 8, 2018, 11:00 am at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
