WINSTED – Marjorie “Dolly” L. Cordano, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018 after a courageous battle with terminal cancer. She was the loving partner of the late Hazel Merritt for many years. Born November 17, 1947 in Winsted; the daughter of the late John and Marie (Simonetti) Cordano.

When she was at Valerie Manor in Torrington, she really enjoyed socializing with the nurses and aides. She is survived by two sisters, Loretta Oliveri and husband George of Winsted and Kathleen Dubois and husband Lawrence of Winsted; close niece for whom she shared a special bond, Michele Palmer-Hester of Torrington and nephew, Bob Palmer of Winsted. She was predeceased by a nephew, John Palmer.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 3 – 4 PM with a funeral service at 4 PM.
