Marjorie T. McDonnell July 29, 1928 – February 27, 2019 Marjorie T. McDonnell, 90, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 8:46 pm in her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave. , Michigan City, IN with Rev.

Kevin Huber officiating. Private burial will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am -12:00 pm, Friday at the Queen of All Saints Church Legacy Center.

The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements. She was born July 29, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Herbert and Marcia (Leach) Emery. On September 10, 1949 in Chicago, IL she married Stewart McDonnell who preceded her September 18, 2013.

Surviving her son Mark (Nancy) McDonnell of Granger, IN; daughter, Nancy Hofmann of Indianapolis, IN; daughter Sue (Bill) Luegers of Long Beach, IN; daughter-in-law Debbie McDonnell of Michigan City, IN; son Bruce (Terri) McDonnell of Arlington Heights, IL; daughter Mary (Dave) Frazee of Michigan City, IN; son Tim (Dawn) McDonnell of Valparaiso, IN; son Phil (Meg) McDonnell of Wilmette, IL; son Barry (Jenny) McDonnell of Michigan City, IN; and son Paul (Andrea) McDonnell of Pottawattamie Park, IN; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Claire Klingler of Indianapolis, IN and Barbara Coulomb of Carol Stream, IL. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kevin McDonnell; and grandchildren, Craig Hofmann and Nell McDonnell. Marjorie had worked as a secretary at MGM Studios in Chicago, IL and at was an election poll worker in Michigan City.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a founding member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Marjorie was an avid reader and enjoyed working cross word puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother, volunteer at her children’s school but most of all she loved her family.
