Martha Westmoreland Kendrick, 73 of Wilson Drive, Fallston passed away, Friday, April 27, 2018 at Summit Place in Kings Mountain. Born September 23, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Virginia Beatty Westmoreland. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dickson Kendrick; son, Richard Kendrick and a brother, Dick Westmoreland. Survivors include two daughters,… Read More » Ginger Beam and husband, Derek of Fallston and Sarah Lail and husband, Travis of Shelby; twin sister, Harriet Schneider of Maryland; two brothers, Bill Westmoreland of Sweden and Tom Westmoreland of Gastonia and four grandchildren, Jessica Duncan of Charlotte, Jerry Duncan, Jr. of Fallston, Kilian Lail and Aiden Lail both of Shelby. Special thanks to Summit Place, Hospice Cleveland County and Dr. Rebecca Love for all of the care and support they have provided.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday at Friendship United Methodist Church. A Memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Renee Lewis and Rev.

Neal Brower officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter; 4600 Park Rd #250, Charlotte, NC 28209 or to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
