Mrs. Mary B. French- Lamberjack, 86, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness. Mary was born on February 4, 1932, in Elwood to Francis and Ruby (Long) Hibst. She lived in the Elwood & Alexandria area most of her life.

Mary was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood. She was a life member of the Torch Bearer Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mary previously worked for J. Lewis Small Co. in Elwood for several years and more recently for Baxter Music Co. in Alexandria.

Mary enjoyed large family gatherings and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Mary is survived by her daughter, Jan (Rick) Orban of Warsaw, IN. , daughter, Robin (Brian) Ball of Elwood, IN.

, and son, Bob (Donna) French of Elwood, IN. ,grandchildren; Natalie (Rick) Ramones, Jordan (Melissa) Ball, Jessica (Brandon) Adams, Aubrey Harris , Rob (Mandy) French and Alexandra (Dustin) Adams, great -grandchildren; Dedra, Riley, Maddie, Mikayla, Marlee, Max, Keegan, Kaeden, Lily, Laila, Brianna, Sarah, Shelby, Leah and Sydney, two brothers, Fred (Geri) Hibst of Elwood, IN. , and David (Gerry) Hibst of Fayetteville, NC, two sisters, Theresa (Henry) Beekley of NY and Judith (Sann) Froula of Brentwood, TN, and several nieces & nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her children, Robert D. French, second husband, Bob Lamberjack, two sisters, Patricia Vollenhals and Sue Ann Belden and a brother, Phillip Hibst. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at St Joseph Catholic Church, Elwood, In.

, with Father Dan Duff officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, Jan.

16, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM and a memorial service by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority members following the Rosary In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elwood Animal Shelter.
