Mary L. Lacey, age 94, a life long resident of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Community Parkview Health & Living in Elwood, IN. Mary was born in Anderson, IN on August 1, 1924 to the late Charles and Audrey (Kelly) Coburn. On July 28, 1946 Mary married the love of her life Thurman Lacey.

They shared almost 59 years of marriage together. Thurman preceded her in death on June 5, 2005. Mary retired from Switcher Corp.

after 25 years of service. She attended the Central Wesleyan Church. Mary enjoyed going to garage sales.

After becoming a resident at Community Parkview she enjoyed playing with her dolls and beads. Mary also enjoyed her coloring books and loved her little wiener dog Meyer. Mary is survived by her daughter, Kay (Ivan) Culp of Elwood, IN, grandsons, Thurman (Tracy) Jones of Charlestown, IN, James Jones of Elwood, IN, Bill (Jamica) Jones of Elwood, IN and great grandson, TJ Jones of Elwood, IN.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Robert Coburn. Funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2019 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, IN with Rev. Ben Capshaw officiating.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Fishers, IN. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, in Elwood, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Central Wesleyan Church.
