Obituary for Mary Salentro Mary Rose Salentro, 84, of Shinnston passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Meadowview manor, Bridgeport following a brief illness. She was born July 13, 1933 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Frank Joseph Rotunda and Frances Allawatt Rotunda. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Salentro, Sr. and her two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Silverman and her husband, Mark; her son Freddie Salentro and his wife Diana, all of Shinnston and three grandchildren, Joey Salentro, Parker Silverman and Paige Silverman; several nieces and nephews. Mary Rose was a 1951 graduate of Shinnston High School and graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She retired after thirty years of nursing.

She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Shinnston. She was an Adorer of the Blessed Margaret of the Castello Eucharistic Adoration Chapel in Shinnston. She was an avid WVU Mountaineer and Pirates Fan.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston from 5-8 PM Sunday. Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday, April 30, 2018 with Rev.

Father Pat J Wash. Entombment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Online memories and condolences may be shared at harmerfuneralhome.com.
