Obituary for Matthew Evans III Matthew Nelson Evans, III, 44, of 6496 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Matthew was born in Danville, VA on August 29, 1973 a son to the late Matthew Nelson Evans and Nancy Wallace Evans who survives.

He had lived all of his life at his home in the Dry Fork Community with his parents, where he was a graduate of Chatham High School. Matthew was a special child sent from God who was such an inspiration to many, many people. Matthew is survived by his mother, Nancy W. Evans of the residence, three sisters, Vickie E. Hastings & husband Steve of Dry Fork, VA, Pattie E. Pickeral & husband Tony of Danville, VA and Judy E. Hearp & husband Mike of Dry Fork, VA.

and numerous nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his father and a brother Matthew N. Evans, Jr. Funeral Services for Matthew will be conducted on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Michael Hearp and Rev.

Cecil Coates. Interment will follow in the Emmaunel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at the Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the residence, 6496 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA 24549.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Matthew’s loving caregiver, Melinda Fisher. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, Building Fund, 16300 Mt. Cross Road, Dry Fork, VA.
