Maurice’s Obituary Ray “Maurice” Beasley, Sr., 82, husband of the late Sue Rector Beasley, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born August 14, 1936 in Anderson County, Maurice was the son of the late William Carl Beasley and Lillie Mae Bowman Beasley. Along with his wife and parents, Maurice was preceded in death by a son William Cecil “Monkey” Beasley; and siblings, Clara Rose Beasley, Marcus Karl Beasley, and Harold “Tommy” Beasley.

A truck driver for the former Kentucky Stone, Maurice enjoyed fishing, making jewelry, playing the guitar and singing. Maurice is survived by five children, Ray Maurice Beasley, Jr., Harold (wife Anita) Beasley, Laura Mae (husband Buddy) Shrout, Gennie Beasley, and Patsy (husband Terry) Briscoe, all of Lawrenceburg; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; five siblings, Mary Lou Gillis and Connie Blackwell, Junior (wife Donna)Beasley, William “Billy” Beasley, and Johnny (Randy) Beasley. Services will be held at 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 15th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with David Stratton officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials are suggested to the Maurice Beasley Memorial Fund, c/o Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, P.O. Box 730, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
