Teruko’s Obituary Teruko Nagaoka Gomez, 83, wife of the late Raymond Foster Gomez, passed away January 11, 2019 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY. Born February 5, 1935 in Fukuoka, Japan, Teruko was the daughter of the late Kenji and Tsuruyo Nagaoka. Including her husband and parents, Teruko was preceded in death by two siblings, Atsushi Nagaoka and Toshiko Nagaoka.

Prior to moving to Lawrenceburg, KY in 2016, Mrs. Gomez lived in Anaheim, CA from 2013 – 2016 and previously in Las Vegas, NV. She worked as a Blackjack dealer at the Sands Hotel for 17 years and later as a Bacharach dealer at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. Mrs. Gomez is survived by her daughter Leilani Satsuki White (her fiancé Derick Clifton) of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Noelani Miyoko White of Las Vegas, Kelalani Kimiko White and Daxton Cash Gomez of Lawrenceburg; and five siblings, Hiroko Cozine, Massaaki Nagaoka, Akinobu Nagaoka, Miyoko Nagaoka, and Shigeki Nagaoka.

Cremation was chosen. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
