Max Sherman Eddy June 12, 1934 – January 2, 2019 Our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, husband and patriarch, Max Sherman Eddy, 84, went to his eternal rest in Heaven, January 2, 2019. He was born in Ogden, Utah full of spunk and full of life on June 12, 1934 to Mildred Vest and Chris A. Eddy. He graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State.

Max married the love of his life, and eternal companion, Beverly Baker on March 7, 1962; later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He accomplished many things in his life, but his greatest accomplishment was his family and posterity. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; where he served in various callings including High Priest Group Leader.

He and his wife served a mission in St. George and an extraction mission; also, he and Beverly served in the Ogden Temple. He had a great love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, and the gospel until his last breath here on earth. Max loved having his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren around where he could watch them enjoy life.

He enjoyed the family cabin, hunting, fishing, golf, riding ATV’s and riding horses. He had a very witty sense of humor. He could fix anything at home or for the neighbors and many family members.

Most of all he adored his Sweetheart, Beverly. He worked as a chief engineer at Continental (Wonder Bread) Bakery and Metz Bakery for many years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Beverly; children Kris Rhodes, Bonnie (Steve) Rhead, Layne (Barbara) Eddy, Laurie (Thorpe) Shupe, Susan (Brad) Barto, Michele Young, Georgia (Scott) Knight, Julie (Jim) Gochis; 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Also, survived by his sister Ann Jensen and brother Mark Eddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren Chad and Josie; three great-grandchildren Connor, Trevor, and Benjamin Max, and brothers Jack Eddy, Elwood Eddy, Gary Eddy, and little Chris Eddy. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Plain City Stake Center, 4575 W 2125 No.

A viewing will be held on January 6th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Monday at the church from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. Interment, Plain City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
