Juan Melendez 2-20-1972–2-14-2019 Juan passed away peacefully surrounded by his lifelong best friend Michelle Robbins, and “adopted” parents Rhonda and Randy Smith, after a long battle with multiple health issues. Juan was born 2-20-1972 in Ogden Utah to Regino (Popi) Melendez (deceased) and Francisca (Cardoza)Melendez (deceased). Juan graduated from Ogden High School in 1990.

He worked for many years at Ligori’s Pizza and made many friends whom he considered family. He attended the OWATC and got a certificate in Office Administration. He then worked at Midtown Community Health Center as a records specialist.

Juan had a wonderful sense of humor and always enjoyed people. He was a lot of fun and made friends everywhere he went. He always had a wonderful attitude no matter what life through at him.

He was joking even until the end. He is survived by Michelle Robbins, his 20+ year devoted best friend and caretaker; his sons, whom he loved dearly, Gabriel Melendez (Soniya France), Christopher Melendez (Kia Anderson); and grandson Sabastian Emilo Melendez. Also brother Clemente Melendez (Rebecca).

Juan also had many many nephews and nieces whom he adored. Juan had many friends and loved ones who will miss him greatly. He will always be very loved and remembered.

There will be a celebration of life March 17th from 2-5 at Ligori’s Pizza for close friends and family. We would like to thank staff at McKay Dee Hospital, Heritage Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation for all their care.
