Maxwell Edward Adams, 91, of El Dorado, AR passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Mr. Adams was born March 24, 1927, in Union County, AR to the union of Alonzo Adams and Fanny Cottroll Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of almost 70 years, Wilma Britt Adams, and four siblings.

Mr. Adams proudly served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 39 years. He was a deacon at Wyatt Baptist Church and a volunteer with Master’s Builders, helping build over 100 churches.

Survivors include one daughter, Anita Aycock of Tulsa, OK; two sons, Andy Adams of Fayetteville, AR, and Barry Adams of Clermont, FL; five grandchildren, Slade Adams, Amanda Adams, Bill Aycock, Katie Adams Kuykendall and Carly Adams Sullivan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Wyatt Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Wyatt Baptist Church with Rev.

Donny Hymer officiating. Interment will be in the Wyatt Parnell Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wyatt Baptist Church or to the Master’s Builders, 3863 West Hillsboro, El Dorado, AR 71730.
