Melodie Gay Rohlman, 65, of Lake Odessa passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Melodie was born on May 10, 1953 in Hastings to Kenneth and Geraldine (Compton) Moltmaker. Melodie was a 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School and worked various jobs in the area including Doty’s Cafe, Carl’s Supermarket and for Steve Garlinger as a secretary in his chiropractor practice.

On May 11, 1974 she married John Rohlman. Melodie was an avid reader, crafter including quilts and clothing, loved trips in the RV especially the Northern Michigan trips. She was big animal lover rescuing many cats and Grey Hounds over the years.

Melodie will be dearly missed by: husband John, sons; Benjamin and Jeremy (Amber) Rohlman, grandchild Sophia, siblings; Michele Strom, Monica (Jim) Potter, Mark Moltmaker and Michael Moltmaker. She was preceded in death by: her father, siblings Michael Joe Moltmaker and Maureen Scobey and brother in law Terry Strom. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Koops Funeral Chapel from 12noon until 2pm at which time funeral services will start.

Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hounds of Grace, www. houndsofgrace.org/.
