Melvin’s Obituary Melvin Coffey, 82 of Screven died Thursday, March 14, 2019 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Michigan native had lived in Wayne County the past 30 years and was a retired maintenance mechanic with Wayne Memorial Hospital. Mel loved woodworking and helping others.

Survivors are his wife of 30 years, Pat Coffey of Screven; 6 children and several special friends. Private memorial services will be held by the family. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Ga.
