Merri Anne Cavalier, 79, of Randleman, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Born on May 6, 1939, in Campbell, Ohio, Mrs. Cavalier was the daughter of the late James and Anne Cavalier. She was a retired real estate agent and attended Sunset Avenue Church of God. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cavalier was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Douglas. Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Williams and husband, Lynn, of Randleman; sons, Michael Douglas, of Arizona, Paul Douglas, Steven Douglas, both of California; brother, James Cavalier, of Arizona; grandchildren, Justin Eide and wife, Kelly and their children, Reese and Reed; Todd Eide and wife, Emmalee and their children, Averi and Corvin; Joshua Douglas and his son, A.J.; Kristen Douglas and son, Edwin; Jennifer Castro, Daniel Douglas; and beloved canine companions, Benji and Bella. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
