Terry Farrell Parham, 86, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Bailey’s Grove Baptist Church, Asheboro, with Pastor Jon Shook officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.

Tabor Community Church Cemetery. Born in Lee County, NC on September 2, 1932, Terry was the youngest child of the late Burrell Parham and Mattie Seawell Parham. He worked at Hop’s Bar-B-Que for many years.

He was a member of Bailey’s Grove Baptist Church. He loved to sing, play his guitar and tell jokes like “Why did the chicken cross the road? ” In addition to his parents, Terry was prececeded in death by his wife, Irene Thompson Parham; sons, David Parham, Terry Lee Parham; brothers, Walter, Bud, Earl, J.B., Carlton; and sisters, Edith, Lucille, Eula.

Surviving are his daughters, Lucille Atkins and husband, Robert, of Seagrove, Denise Parham, of Asheboro, Ruth Ann Parham, of Asheboro; sons, Gary Parham and wife, Nancy, of Asheboro, Jimmy Parham and wife, Tammy, of Asheboro, 20 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service at the church, and other times at the home of Ruth Ann Parham. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC, 27204.
