Kim “Kim-bo” Stephen Morgan, 62, of Asheboro, died Thursday, March 7, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Aaron Powers and Rhonda Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Born in Randolph County, NC, on October 21, 1956, Mr. Morgan was the son of Iris “Bo-d” Clark Morgan and the late Eddie Jennings Morgan. He was an artist, chef, caregiver for his parents and an avid Duke fan. He enjoyed dancing, playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He served in the US Air Force. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Jennings Morgan. Surviving in addtion to his mother are his son, Winston Morgan and fiancee, Tara Barker, of Granite Falls, sisters, Darnell Morgan Long and husband, Loyd, of Asheboro, Rhonda Morgan Austin and husband, Richard, of Randleman, Pamela Morgan Morgan, of Robbins, Lisa Morgan Bunting, of Katy, TX, Anna Morgan, of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Lona A. Morgan, of Star, grandchildren, Kinsley Morgan and Grant Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m, Friday, prior to the service, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 7027 Albert Pick Road, Greensboro, NC 27409; or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 11454.
