Michael’s Obituary Mr. Michael Blevins, 69, of Troy, MO, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at Mercy Hospital of Troy. He was born on May 12, 1949, in St. Louis to Aaron and Willie White (Crowell) Blevins.

Michael grew up in St. Paul, MO, along with his older brother, Donald. He later graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School in O’Fallon, MO. He then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1968 and served until 1971.

Michael then met his soulmate, Mary Ortbals, through a friend and the rest is history. The couple was united in holy matrimony at St. Kevin’s Catholic Church in St. Ann, on Oct. 6, 1972.

Michael attended college and after graduation began working as a civil engineer. He was a good provider for his family. They were blessed with three children: Sarah, Andrew and Jessica.

The family lived in St. Peters for 33 years before moving to Lincoln County to enjoy country living. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe and in his spare time made rosaries for family and friends. Michael loved the outdoors and enjoyed raising chickens.

Dirt car racing was another pastime of his. His family was of the utmost importance to him. Michael will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his devoted and loving wife of over 46 years, Mary Blevins of Troy; his three children and their spouses: Sarah (Mike) Peters of Troy, Andrew (Amber) Blevins of Troy, Jessica (Sean) Guffey of Elgin, OK; his brother, Donald (Margaret) Blevins of St.Charles; his seven adoring grandchildren: Rileigh and Reagan Peters, Payton, Cooper and Anndee Blevins, and Ainsley and Alison Guffey. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A visitation to be held on Friday, Feb.

15, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, (Tel:) 636-528-8244, mccoyblossomfh.com. There will also be visitation on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 from 9-10a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Old Monroe.
