The family of Michael Chadwick Davis sorrowfully announce his passing on April 21, 2018. Chad was born in Lexington, KY on March 19, 1971 to his loving parents James F and Marcia Davis of Daytona Beach, FL. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1989.

He then joined the Navy, serving for 23 years before retiring in 2012. During his service with the Navy, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development and was able to travel the world. He married his high school… Read More » sweetheart and soulmate Vicki Stickle Davis and they spent 28 wonderful years together until her passing in August 2017.

They raised three beautiful daughters, Mersadi of Jacksonville, FL: Danielle of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Grace Davis of Jacksonville, and dedicated their lives to their happiness. In addition to his parents and daughters, Chad is survived by his brother, Andrew (Sydeana) Davis , and his beloved “Granddaddy”, Jimmy Davis of Lexington. He is also survived by his uncle Greg Davis (Carla) of Lexington, aunt Barbara Jonckheere (Alan) of Avon, IL, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

After his retirement he transitioned to the banking industry where he wrote various training and educational programs. Chad loved golf, surfing, and hiking with Vicki in Gatlinburg, TN to search for bears. He and his family went on many “jump adventures” often hopping in their car with no set destination in mind.

Chad and Vicki will be entombed together at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens and Mausoleum in Pigeon Forge, TN. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12PM Monday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge, TN and the Military Funeral Service to follow at 12PM with Chaplain Lin Reagan officiating. Entombment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project to which Chad dedicated much of his spare time, www. woundedwarriorproject.org/donate. Online condolences may be made at www.
