Bobbie Jean (Short) Adams, age 77 of Seymour, TN, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 from complications associated with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born the second of eight children on January 18, 1941 in Knoxville to Clark and Rozella (Collins) Short, Sr. Bobbie married Samuel Richard Adams on August 22, 1969 and even though they were very different, they never had a significant arguments. She loved to have lunch and shop with her best friends, a.k.a. her sisters. Along with her husband, and often her children and grandchildren, Bobbie visited all 48 continental states and adored Walt Disney World no matter how long the lines.

She was a city girl that moved to the country, never had a wrinkle in her clothes, and was fiercely loyal, independent, and kind. She was known as Bobbie, Mom, and Nana, and to some by Jean, “Other” Mother, and Nana Bobbie. No matter what name she went by, she was loved by many and will be missed.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her father Clark, her mother Rozella, and her sisters Billie and Edith. She is survived by her husband Samuel, son and daughter-in-law Charles and Teresa, daughter and son-in-law Lori and Lee, her grandchildren Collin, Isabella and Alexandra, her siblings and their spouses, Frances and Wendell Allen, Diana Voiles, Jewel Toole and Victor Barkley, Clark Short, Jr., and Linda and Tom Atchley, many nieces and nephews, and her honorary “other” children and grandchildren.
