Helen Geraldine Lindsey “Gerrie”, of South Knoxville, went home to be with Jesus on September 3, 2018. Gerrie was born August 4, 1937 to Don and Ruth Huffaker. Gerrie was known for her beautiful smile that would light up a room, her spunky attitude, her love for Jesus and her power of Prayer.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Ruth and Don Huffaker; and Husband, Jack E. Lindsey. She is survived by her Son, Steve E. Lindsey; Daughter, Kelly Phillips (Chris); Grandchildren, Cory Phillips… Read More » (Tamara), Chase Phillips (Krissy), and Riley Phillips (Haley); and Great-Grandchildren, Jack and Henley Phillips, Deacon and Bear Phillips. The family would like to wish a special thanks to Special Angel’s: Angie, Pam, Kay, Brie, Macy, and Brittany who were the caregivers from Gardens Senior Living, and the staff at University of Tennessee Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Gardens Senior Living c/o Angie Ingle 524 Ivey Vine Dr. Maryville, TN 37801. Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Chase Phillips officiating.

Graveside service and interment 11 AM Friday at Alder Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour, 122 Peacock Ct. , Seymour, TN 37865 (577-2807).
