Annette M. Adams Carter, 78, of Gatlinburg, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer. She was born February 9, 1940 in Gatlinburg. Annette was a member of Banner Baptist Church and attended Pathways.

She worked at Jolly Golf and was a Manager of Gateway Book and Card Shop in Gatlinburg for many years. Annette had a passion for plants and gardening, and had a fondness for the Smoky Mountains. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Moore and his wife, Libby Moore; step-father, Ashley C. McCarter; and nephew, Jimmy Siera. Annette is survived by her mother, Mary McCarter; daughter, Dina Entry and husband, Norman; son, Sean Carter and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Caroline, Harrison, and Henry Carter; sister, Jean Siera and husband, Jim; brothers, Dan McCarter and wife, Betty, and Larry McCarter; nieces and nephews, Jeanne McCumpsey and husband, Kyle, Ben McCarter, Robbie McCarter and wife, Heather, and Richie McCarter. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Betty McCarter for all her kindness and care for Annette throughout the years.
