Paul Delin Bolinger, 77, of Kodak, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 2, 2018. He was born April 27, 1941 in Knox County. Paul’s life was committed to God, family, church, community and country.

He was very involved in serving the community and was active in many organizations including his service as Chairman of the Sevier County Election and President of the Democratic Party in Sevier County. Paul was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.

He also served as a Boy Scout Leader for the region. He was retired from United Technologies and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Paul Delin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laura Gail Hodge Bolinger; daughters, Regina Gail Bolinger (Paul Rowan), Paula Bolinger Barnes (Roger Lou), Shirley Bolinger Whaley (Nathan); grandchildren, Caden Barnes and Ariel Barnes; siblings, Linda Miller, Mary Alice Maples, Larry Bolinger (Jill), Martha Marshall, Landon “Bo” Bolinger (Tammy); brother-in-law, Vernon Hodge (Barbara); sister-in-law, Sue Jones; nieces and nephews, Kelli, Anita, Lisa, Carol, Chris, Lee, Leslie, Scott, Ashlie, Gregg, Shane, Teresa, Tommy, Chip, Scott, Patrick, Ginger; and a host of extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patti Katrina Bolinger; parents, Donahue and Gladys Bolinger; brother, Dave Bolinger; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bolinger and Ann Hodge; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doyce and Shirley Ariail; brother-in-law Sam Marshall; nephew, David Bolinger, Jr.; and nieces, Becky Daigle and Tammy Jones. Due to Paul’s involvement with the Building Committee, memorials can be made to French Broad Valley Baptist Church Building Fund, 881 Douglas Dam Road, Kodak, TN 37764. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday, September 5th in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.

Funeral Service 10 AM Thursday at French Broad Valley Baptist Church, 881 Douglas Dam Rd. , Kodak, TN 37764 with graveside service to follow at Underwood Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
