Obituary for Mrs. Muriel Ouellette Muriel “Murph” D. Ouellette, 90, formerly of Pittsfield passed away peacefully on April 7, 2018. Born in North Adams on March 10, 1928, the daughter of Raoul and Cora Lussier Dupuis, she was a 1946 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Murph worked as a secretary and retired from GE.

She enjoyed playing bingo, stamping, trips to the casino, and cheering for the New England Patriots. More than anything, her favorite time was that spent with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Homer Ouellette, a Navy veteran whom she married on July 23, 1949.

Murph is survived by her two children, Monica Jardin and her husband Ken of Hebron, CT and Mark Ouellette and his wife Jeanie of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Philip Torrey and his wife Alexis of Arlington, MA and Daniel Jardin and his companion Megan Giehl of Dallas, TX; great-grandsons, Jack and William Torrey; and a sister, Claire Burbank. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Norman, Wilfred, Roland, Raoul, and Charles.

Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mrs. Muriel D. Ouellette will be Friday April 13, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday April 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
