Nancy Louise (Hardesty) Doerr, 76, of Accident, MD, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation, Oakland, MD. Born November 6, 1942, in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jane (White) Hardesty-Howell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John David Doerr; her first husband, Everett “Nick” Friend; two sons, Carlon and Michael Doerr; two grandsons, Nicolas W. and Brian R. Friend.

Nancy was self-employed, and worked as a bookkeeper. She is survived by two sons, Phil Friend and wife, Christina, Friendsville, MD; Larry Friend and wife, Carolyn, Terra Alta, WV; one daughter-in-law, Robin Doerr, Accident; three brothers, Charles Hardesty, Swanton, MD; Tom Hardesty, Oakland; Ron Sisler, Middletown, MD; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes P.A., 26722 Garrett Hwy.

, Accident, MD 21520 on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Services will be conducted following visitation in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Caton officiating. Interment will be in the Hoyes Methodist Cemetery, Friendsville. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to her family.
