Neil Randy Blackburn, May 11, 1972 — January 26, 2019

Neil’s Obituary Funeral Services for Neil “Randy” Blackburn will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Chapel of Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Road, Broussard, LA. The family request that visiting hours be observed beginning with viewing from 10 AM until 11 AM and visitation continuing until time of services at 2 PM. Neil Randolph “Randy” Blackburn passed away January 26, 2019 in Maurice, Louisiana.

He was born May 11, 1972 in New Iberia, Louisiana. Randy was a talented Fabricator in the Oilfield Supply Industry, and worked for Traco in Youngsville. He was a dedicated, conscientious employee and worked many weekends of overtime to get the job done.

He enjoyed drawing and was interested in designing tattoos. Randy was a “Jack of All Trades,” able to build or repair just about anything. He was about to begin the restoration of his late mother’s home.

Randy was a loyal brother, son, husband and father. He was so very proud of Jillian and Alex. He and his wife had six cats and had also adopted his mom’s little dog.

The loss of his brother Russell hit Randy hard, and last year losing both of his parents within nine months of each other knocked the wind right out of his sails. He is no longer suffering. His broken spirit has been made whole, and surely he is safe in the embrace of his mother in heaven.

He will be dearly missed by those he left behind. Randy is survived by his wife Heather Blackburn of Maurice, Louisiana; daughter Jillian Blackburn and son Alex Guillory; uncle William Colgin, aunts Elaine Shelton, Cindy King and Darla Elliott. He was preceded in death by his brother Russell Blackburn, father Jimmy Blackburn, mother Sybil Blackburn, aunt Carol Land, uncle Randy Colgin and grandparents Irene and Randolph Colgin and Doris and Burl Elliott.
