Norrita’s Obituary Oswego, Norrita Elaine Bullard of Minetto passed away March 9th, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Adams NY, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Margaret (Dennie) Taylor. Norrita moved to Minetto with her family when she was in High School.

She met and later married her late husband, Ernest E. Bullard on March 4th 1961, and together they raised their three children, Karen, Jeff and Kevin. She loved caring for and raising her family, and she was also employed as a housekeeper for Dr. Shah. She loved to bowl and was an accomplished bowler from her teenage years until she was 80.

Norrita traveled across the US with her bowling team and was a member of the National Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of the Elks Club Lady’s Auxiliary and she loved to swim. She was an avid member of our local YMCA’s.

Surviving are her children; Karen (Adam Shaffer) Bullard of Minetto, Jeff Bullard (Rachee Fagg) of Philadelphia PA, and Kevin (Beth) Bullard of Rhode Island; brother, John (Dorothy) Taylor of Scriba; sister, Nathalie (Bob) Palmer of Minetto; 5 grandchildren, Brian, Calah, and Stacy Bullard of Philadelphia and Emily and Jacob Bullard of Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Shirley Merritt and brother in law Don. Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm with a service to follow, on Friday, March 15th at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street.
