Ellen’s Obituary Ellen M. Spano, 91, of Osceola died on January 25th, 2019 at home. Born in Oswego, she was a life long Oswegonian and the daughter of the late Charles M. and Florence L. (West) Gillen. Ellen met and married her husband, the late Angelo Spano, on August 13, 1949.

She was a housewife, who took pride in her home and loving care of her family. She was a fan of country music and loved to snowmobile and ride motorcycles. She was very social and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Her family was her life and pride and joy. Surviving are her daughter, Ellen A. Spano and Michael Rodriquez of Osceola; two grandchildren, Sean (Jessica) Spano and Brian Rodriquez of Oswego; and one great grandchild, Noah Michael Rodriquez. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Spano; her daughters, Sheila and Priscilla Spano and her sister Shirley Pasco.

Services will be held privately at the family’s convenience at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany. Entombment in her private mausoleum will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Nelson Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
