Jeanette’s Obituary Jeanette Hogan, 93, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6th, at St. Luke Health Care Facility. She was born on March 14, 1925 in Oswego, NY, the daughter of the late Harold and Catherine (Whalen) Lacey She graduated from Oswego High School and the Rochester Business Institute. She worked for her family’s business, Lacey’s Taxi, for many years.

She was also employed at Rudolph Jewelers, and retired as a clerk from Oswego County. Mrs. Hogan was a member of St. Paul’s parish, its Altar Rosary Society, and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Hawaii; playing in her bridge club, reading, shopping, decorating, baking, and cooking.

She also loved flowers and flower arranging. She served as a den mother for the cub scouts, and as CEO of the local newspaper delivery routes. Mrs. Hogan was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, William E. Hogan, who passed away on November 1, 2018, as well as her two sisters, Louise (Herbert) Cooper, and Joan LeClair.

She is survived by her four children, William (Constance) Hogan, of Florida, Richard (Debra) Hogan of Oswego, Anne (Dr. Robert) Morgan of Oswego, and Martin Hogan of Denmark. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eppie Hogan (Chris Ash) of Colorado, Nathan (Heidi) Hogan of Connecticut, Matthew (Ellen) Hogan of Minetto, Adam Hogan of Syracuse, Robert (Jessica) Morgan of South Carolina, Garrett (Alicia) Morgan of Canada, Lacey (Douglas) Weller of Albany, and Colin Morgan of Tennessee; her great-grandchildren, Cade Havel of Alaska, and Sloan Hogan of Connecticut; along with several nieces and nephews. Thank you to her home caregivers Laurie, Val, Gail and Sandy for their continued support.

Also thank you to all of her caregivers at St. Luke, especially Ann “Frances”, Emily, Erica, Penny, Beckie, Cheryl, April, Shauna, Kate, Faith and Sue for their kindness and compassion, including Terry Pratt and the Social Services Department. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, in St. Paul’s Church, Oswego, NY. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego, NY.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm Sunday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street.
