Obituary of Oliver Dotts Oliver P. Dotts, age 65, of Corning, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1953 in Johnstown, PA, the son of Ivan C. and Rita (McConnell) Dotts. He married Patricia L. Brace on July 6, 1974 at St. Vincent De Paul Church.

Oliver was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He worked faithfully at Hardinge Brothers for 40 years. Oliver was an avid hunter, loved working on projects with his sons and their friends, tinkering in his shop, riding his Harley motorcycle and he loved listening to music.

Oliver especially cherished the time he spent with his beloved grandson. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia, sons, Ivan (Jessica) Dotts of Corning and Joshua Dotts of Corning, his mother, Rita Acker of Watkins Glen, siblings, Ivanna (Daniel) Fenti of Florida, Nanette (Patrick) Hanley of Watkins Glen, Francis (Patricia) Dotts of Pine City, and Maryjo (Steve) Karski of North Carolina, grandson, Oliver Dotts, brother-in-law, Errol Brace of Florida, sisters-in-law, Diana (Anthony) Povero, Karen (Bill) Kittner, and Melissa (Peter) Vimislik, nieces and nephews, Bradley, DJ, Meghan, Allison, Norah, Troy, Erin, Patrick, Michael, Angela, Timothy, Raymond, Chris, Ryan, Collin, and Bailey. Oliver was predeceased by his sister, Bernadette Marks, father, Ivan C. Dotts, and father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Norma Brace.

Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A celebration of Oliver’s life will follow there at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Attn: NICU Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 600 Roe Ave, Elmira, NY 14905.
