Obituary of Raymond Pierri Raymond J. Pierri, 94 years, of Painted Post, NY passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at home. Ray was born on March 26, 1924 in Corning, NY to Peter and Julia (Cavalier) Pierri. He married Sylvia Piaquadio on June 30, 1962.

She predeceased him in 2005. He served his country in the South Pacific during WWII as a radar operator. He was a co-owner of Johnny and Rays Bar & Grill until a change in careers.

He retired as a Union construction worker. Ray was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Nothing in life was more important to Ray than time spent with family and friends.

He shared a close bond with his brothers growing up. Playing cards was a favorite family pastime. He is survived by his children: Ray (Laurie) Pierri of WA, Lisa (Michael) Fish of Corning, 6 grandchildren: Joseph (Anna) Pierri, Dominic Pierri, Benjamin Pierri, Michael, Hailey Fish, and Lettie; sister: Anna (Ralph) Lesso, brother: Joseph Pierri, Anthony (Joanie) Pierri, John Pierri.

Along with his parents and wife, Ray was pre deceased by his children: Guy Pierri and Karen Pierri Finucane; siblings: Albert, Rocky, Mary, James, and Peter Jr.. Memorial donation can be directed the Steuben County Office for the Aging,1 Park Lane, Corning, NY 14830, in his memory. Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Friday, September 14 from 11:30am-1:30pm followed by a memorial service at 1:30pm.

Committal will immediately follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife and son. .
