Obituary of Marion Gill Marion J. (Palyun) Gill entered into her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Elcor Health Services of Horseheads, NY. She was born February 2, 1928 to John and Mary (Melnic) Palyun in Corning, New York. On September 5, 1953, Marion married the love of her life, Arthur W. Gill, with whom she recently celebrated their 65th anniversary.

Marion was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was most happy surrounded by her family. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. Her delicious meals and desserts were enjoyed by many.

Marion loved babies and little children and cared for many as if they were her own, while their parents worked. She will be dearly missed. Marion is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur Gill, loving daughters: Colleen (Randolf) Mattison, Cindy Krebs (Todd Krastner) and Mary (Lewis) Scott, all of Corning, NY; daughter-in-law, Linda Parker; grandchildren; Arthur A. (Laurai) Gill, Sarah Gill, Sadie (Bill) Murphy, Lorraine Hayes, Justin Mattison, Corey Mattison, Michael (Kate) Krebs, Jordan Scott, Aidan Scott, Crystal Parker, Amanda Parker, and James Parker; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Marion was predeceased by her son, Arthur W. Gill, Jr.; son-in-law, Paul (Skip) Krebs; brothers: Michael, John, Joseph and James; sisters: Cecelia, Helen, Josephine, Julia and Elizabeth. Marion’s family would like to thank the nurses and the entire staff at Elcor Nursing Facility for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to her while she was a resident. Calling hours will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street in Corning, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
