Obituary of Martha Gooshaw Martha Jane Gooshaw, age 86 of Painted Post, NY, died Saturday, November 17, 2018. Martha was born January 23, 1932 in Hornell, NY, the daughter of Howard and Juanita (Cluckey) Askins. She attended Hornell and Painted Post schools and worked at Three Rivers as a nursing assistant for many years.

Martha was a member of the American Baptist Church in Painted Post and would like everyone to always remember how she loved the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Martha is survived by her daughters: Annie (Dan) Bennett of Corning, NY, Nita Askins of Painted Post, NY and Linda Rosberg of Sterling, VA; brother, David (Nancy) Askins of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Julie Bennett, Sarah (Tom) Patton, Scott Bennett, Mike Keach, Jackie (Matt) Bennett, John (Stacy) Rosberg; 10 great-grandchildren and friend, Helen Conklin of Painted Post, NY.

Martha’s family and friends will hold a private celebration of her life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Painted Post, 130 West Water Street, Painted Post, NY 14870.
