Obituary of Melissa Setzer Melissa L. Setzer-Naylor, 50 years, of Corning, NY, passed away on Friday November 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 1, 1968 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Linda (Setzer) Gee. She worked as a waitress and bartender for various restaurants including the Corning Country Club and Spencer’s Restaurant.

Melissa will be remembered for her love of mother nature and being outdoors. Her greatest joy was being a mother and a grandmother. She enjoyed time spent with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Donald Naylor of Corning, NY; children: Jason Setzer, Eric (Kolleenn) Setzer, Monica Setzer, Christian Setzer and Amanda Sprayberry; aunt, Lisa (Tim) Morris of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Jennaveve, Emery, Skout, Simmone and Cory. A celebration of Melissa’s life will be at a date and time to be announced. Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
