Obituary of Jerry Lincoln Jerry W.C. Lincoln, age 76 of Corning, NY passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1942 to Donald and Lois Lincoln. He married Beverly Smith on December 27, 1969.

He served in the United States Air Force stationed in California. He later attended Corning Community College to become a conservation officer. He worked for Hakes Construction for 36 years, and then worked for his step son, Larry Knowles at Doug Gross Construction as a tractor trailer driver.

He moved heavy equipment all across the Northeast. Jerry enjoyed trucking and often would take his wife, Beverly for companionship. He was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Jerry was an active member of the Corning Fish and Game Club. He also loved dogs and had many four legged companions throughout the years. Jerry will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who always tried to find the good in people.

He will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly Lincoln of Corning, NY; son: Don (Mingo) Lincoln of Horseheads, NY; step children: Larry (Janice) Knowles of Painted Post, NY, Deborah Labar of Painted Post, NY, Ronald (Clarissa) Knowles of Painted Post, NY, Suzanne (Dave) Preston Lindley, NY; sister: Donna Bartrip of Pine Crest, NC; grandchildren: Arica Holliday, Brian (Tonya) Knowles, Jason (Mary Lou) Knowles, Renee Knowles, Sarah Benjamin, Holly Seeley, Joseph (Krissy) Button, Robert (Jessica) Labar, Brandi (Evan) Macafee, Angela Beater, Stephen (Debbie) Knowles, Holly (Brett) Young, Mark (Trish) Preston, Kyle Dillon, Tyler Wheaton; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was predeceased by step daughter, Michelle Wheaton; sister, Nancy Lincoln; aunt, Phil Lincoln.

The family will hold a service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 121 Fuller Ave, Corning, NY 14830 on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 1:00pm with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be directed to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Chemung County SPCA, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
