Patricia’s Obituary Patricia Ann Bowman Smith, 88, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Curis of Harrisonburg. Mrs. Smith was born on February 16, 1931 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late George Jerome and Grace Good Bowman Sr She owned and operated Sunset Flowers, Pastry and Greenhouse Inc

She was a avid baker, gardener and had a deep love for her grandchildren. On March 4, 1955, she married Marvin R. Smith who passed away in 2012. Surviving is a son, Hoyt Smith and wife Vicki of Harrisonburg; grandchildren, Timothy Dean Smith and wife Julie of Michigan, Michael Colin Smith, Ashlyn Victoria Smith all of South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Cole Smith, Connor Nicholas Smith; special sister-in-law and best friend, Jean Bowman of Kernersville, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. The family will receive friends at McMullen Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
