Paul A. Valentine, age 78, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 10:32 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home. Paul was born on December 17, 1939 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Otis and Lettie (Woodring) Valentine. Paul is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Diana Valentine of South Bend; his lifelong companion, Margaret Kilburn; seven grandchildren, Kyle Valentine, Chris Valentine, Kristin Valentine, Jamie Valentine, Kaylee Valentine, Devin Valentine and Austin Valentine; and three great grandchildren, Ian, Camille and Jett.

Paul was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Valentine and Kevin Valentine; his parents; sisters, Margaret Meazles, Barbara Valentine and Betty Hicks; and brothers, Odie “Buddy” Valentine, Bill Valentine and Jack Valentine; and the mother of his children, Janice K. Valentine. Paul retired from AM General and previously worked as a milkman and butcher. He served in the United States Army.

Paul wants everyone to know, “I finally quit smoking! ” Paul was a volunteer firefighter for the Penn South Fire Department. He was an avid dancer, often clearing the floor dancing his weekends away, showing off his favorite dance moves.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. , South Bend. Rev.

Bob Vale will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Paul may be made to Heartland Hospice, 230 W. Catalpa, Suite D, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
