Paula Michelle “Shell” Bass transitioned from this life on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at her Coffeeville, AL residence. Born July 25, 1968 to Rosemary and Marvin Bass, she was 50 years of age. Confessing Christ at an early age, Shell united with the Center Ridge Baptist Church in Shubuta, MS and later in life united with the First Church of Nazarene in Quitman, MS, where she served until her demise.

She was known for her beautiful smile and acts of kindness. Preceding her in death were her parents, Rosemary and Marvin Bass; brother, Tommy Lee Allen; and granddaughter, Trinity R. Bass. Paula leaves to forever cherish her precious memories: four sons, Quen Bass, Stonewall, MS; Terry Bass and Quentez (Quashonda) Bass, both of Coffeeville, AL; and Jacques (Latoyia) Bass of Gulfpoort, MS; a loving and devoted Goddaughter, Sherrena Lindsay; six grandchildren, Brendasha Chapman, Tashayla Bass, Kennedy Turman, Amerion Bradford, Laniya Bass, and Dream Sellers; three brothers, Marcell (Kandice) Simmons of Stonewall, MS, Frank Allen and Lessie Lee Allen both of Barnett, MS; two sisters, Johnnie Kay Harris and Linda Pearl Allen both of Barnett, MS; a host of other siblings; a loving and devoted aunt, Velma Strickland; two special cousins, Tamela (Derrick Davis, and Fredrick Strickland; a host of other friends and family including special friends, Alford L. Plumer, Evelyn Smith, Dorothy Lindsay, and Shell Dumas.
