Peggy Anne Minniefield Sylacauga, AL – Peggy Anne Minniefield, 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. Visitation will be Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Elder Reggie Hawkins officiating.

Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Peggy Anne Minniefield was the first born to Mary Hicks and George Minniefield in Sylacauga, AL, on January 16, 1944. At age 10, she moved in with her grandmother, Ida Adair, who raised her.

At 14 years old, she finished school and moved to Ohio, where she met Emory Rutledge. She then gave birth to her first child James “Red” Beavers. She later met and married Robert Eugene Beavers, Sr.; from that union their first child Tina Marie Beavers was born but shortly passed after 3 months of life.

Peggy then gave birth to Robert “Bobby” Eugene Beavers, Jr. and Mary Felicia “FeFe” Beavers. After her daughters fifth birthday, she moved to Chicago and there gave birth to Timothy “Tim” Tarrell Beavers, Sr. After parting ways from Robert Sr., she became a single mother and began working for USPS for over 13 years. She sent her two youngest children to Tulsa, OK, where she later became a resident in 1984.

On September 19, 1974 she was baptized and became a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. She continued to be an independent, single mother, who later helped her daughter raise 6 children. She cared and loved for them dearly.

Peggy Leggy was a wonderful, very loved woman, who took care of any and every one. She never complained or lived her life with regret. Peggy is survived by her two sons, James Beavers, Robert Beavers, Jr.; daughter, Mary F. Beavers; 10 grandchildren, Tyiara, Casee, Jerrysha, Sent, Timothy “TJ” Jr., Amuinique, James “Tre”, Cameron, Alex, and Freddie Smith Jr.; eight great-grandchildren, Michael III, Freddie III, Duane, Timothy, Keon, Mah’Lyni, Myiana, and Jur’Moni; her brother, Larry Minniefield, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Beavers; son Timothy Beavers, Sr.; parents, Mary Hicks and George Minniefield; aunt, Gladys Hale; sisters, Georgia and Helen Minniefield; niece, Karen Morrison; three nephews, Harry Minniefield, and twins, Daniel and Davin Walls. Pallbearers will be Freddie Smith, Jr., James “Tre” Hall, Michael Roberts, Cameron Beavers, Dontae McKinney, and Jeremy Tanner. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.
