Peter Barish, 87, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 while at Indiana Regional Medical Center. The son of Joseph and Minnie (Bork) Barish, he was born June 29, 1931 in Brush Valley Township, Pennsylvania. Peter was a Veteran who served in the Korean War.

Mr. Barish was employed by his family coal company after which he began Barish Used Cars with his brother, John. He will be remembered as a hard worker. Surviving is his wife, Emma Jean (Haag) Barish; daughter, Susan Barish and Dennis Richards; grandchildren, Emilia, Ethan, and Eric Bracken and Hannah Richards; and one brother, John Barish wife Louise and niece and nephews Patty & John Hunter, Chris and Joey.

Mr. Barish was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
